To become a successful HUMSS student you must know the characteristics of a goal oriented student to achieve the goal in life. You must need to prepare yourself in every challenges that you need to face. All people can be good successful students, if they try hard and use self discipline to push them self harder. Being a successful student doesn’t mean you are so smart you get to skip grades, it just means that you get good marks, work well with others, and don’t get held back any grades. If you are a person who wants to keep your life on track, it takes hard work, determination, and patience. 
Being a successful student may involve some of the characteristics such as: organization, time, studying, and believing you can achieve. Studying skills will help you be more successful as well, there is also to much studying. To much studying can cause stress, and dense learning habits, also pushing your self to hard may ruin learning skills and cause your self to feel bad, or not as intelligent. All of that is the needed ingredients or characteristics to make a sweet future. Mix it all and you can taste the dream you want.

We live on the most beautiful planet, Earth which has very clean and attractive nature full of greenery. Nature is our best friend which provides us all the resources to live here. It gives us water to drink, pure air to breathe, food to eat, land to stay, animals, plants for our other uses, etc for our betterment. We should fully enjoy the nature without disturbing its ecological balance. We should care our nature, make it peaceful, keep it clean and prevent it from the destruction so that we can enjoy our nature forever. Nature is a most precious gift given by the God to us to enjoy but not to harm.Nature is the most precious and valuable gift to us from the God to live our life here on the earth. Nature makes our life easy by providing all the required resources for daily living. We should thankful to our nature for helping, caring and nurturing us like a mother. We can enjoy the sweet sound and scenery of the nature if we peacefully sit in the early morning in the garden. Our nature is adorned with lots of scenic beauty which we can enjoy anytime. Earth has geographical beauty and known as the city of garden or heaven. But it is sad to say that such beautiful gifts of God are declining day by day due to the technological advancement and high level of ignorance of the human beings.Nature is the natural environment which surrounds us, cares us and nourishes us every moment. It provides us a protective layer around us to prevent from the damages. We are not able to survive on the earth without nature like air, land, water, fire and sky. Nature includes everything around us like plants, animals, river, forests, rain, lake, birds, sea, thunder, sun, moon, weather, atmosphere, mountain, desserts, hills, ice, etc. Every form of nature is very powerful which has ability to nourish as well as destroy us.

Oriental Mindoro province in the eastern half of Mindoro Island is Southern Tagalog’s primary food basket and tourist destination. The wide expanse of this land is made up of a network of towering mountains, labyrinthine caves, unspoiled waterways and captivating shores that are waiting for the brave and adventurous to come and embrace the mystery and excitement within. Oriental Mindoro province is situated 140 kilometers south of Manila, in the Philippines’ 7th largest island of the same name. It is divided into 14 municipalities (Baco, Bansud, Bongabong, Bulalacao, Gloria, Mansalay, Naujan, Pinamalayan, Pola, Puerto Galera, Roxas, San Teodoro, Socorro and Victoria) with Calapan City in the north as the only city and provincial capital. The province’s topography is organized into two types: mountainous, rugged land in the west and flat agricultural lands to the east. The country’s 18th highest mountain, Mt. Halcon (2582 m) and 5th largest lake, Lake Naujan, are found in the province.The best time to visit  is when heavy rains from June to November could spoil the fun with muddy roads and rough seas, the best time to go is always during the summer season from February to May. The tourism peak season in Puerto Galera is usually around the days leading to Holy Week and after it. If you don’t want your beaches crowded especially in White Beach, then go earlier or later. Going early can also save you the hassle of being stuck at ports as chance passengers. There are also a number of minor festivals to be celebrated in the province’s other municipalities during this time.

Most hotels, resorts and other forms of accommodations are situated in Puerto Galera, with only a handful in other municipalities. There is a wide spectrum to choose from, beginning with economy to first-class. A number of resorts in Puerto Galera, particularly in Sabang Beach offer tour and watersports packages to guests that includes island hopping around Puerto Galera, snorkeling, scuba diving and kayaking.

The province of Oriental Mindoro is part of the Arroyo administration’s flagship project called the Strong Republic Nautical Highway which runs from Manila to Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao. This project has greatly improved the quality of roads and transportation in the province in recent decades. From Buendia, Manila or in Alabang, Muntinlupa, you can take a bus (Jam Liner, Alps, Tritran, Green Star, RRCG or N. Dela Rosa) for Sta. Clara Port in Batangas City. From there you can take an outrigger boat for White Beach or Sabang Beach in Puerto Galera, or a fast craft or RORO for Balatero or Muelle Port in Puerto Galera. You can also go via Calapan City, which has a bigger port. From there, you can take a jeep or bus to Puerto Galera or to other municipalities down south. Travel time from Manila to Batangas is 1 ½ hours and from Batangas to Puerto Galera or Calapan it’s 2-3 hours by boat or RORO and 45 minutes by fast craft.
There is an exclusive ferry service being offered by Si-Kat Ferry Bus. They have buses just outside of City State Tower at Mabini Street in Ermita, Manila waiting to take passengers to Batangas Port. They have a fast craft, Si-Kat II, ready to bring passengers to Sabang Beach in Puerto Galera. Reservations must be made a day in advanced and a round trip ticket costs around P1400.

Pamela start up her YouTube channel on March 17,2014 where she post her make up tutorials and fashion look books . She is widely known for her eponymous channel where she has gained more than 1 million subscribers. She is also known for posting Get ready with me Vlogs and personal entries documenting her everyday life. She has amassed more than 70,000 subscribers to her YouTube channel since its beginning. One of her most popular videos there, “FETTY WAP DANCE CHALLENGE | Pamela Swing & Aya Salvador,” has earned more than 125,000 views.Pamela started uploading videos in October. Pamela initially launched her channel to inspire her fellow Filipinos to be confident in expressing themselves. Pamela also has a vlogging channel called “The life of Pam” she has a fan base called pamily. She use the unique name PAMily for her fan page cause she consider her fans to be her family.

Cybercrime: Be smart, Don’t start!

The world that once could not imagine the possibility to talk to a person in a different country sitting at home, now can see a person and communicate with them as if they are talking face-to-face. The Internet opened the world of unique opportunities and possibilities, as well as of new dangers. Nowadays, we face a new way of bullying that is cyber bullying. Tons of people, especially teenagers, become the victims of aggression, embarrassment and harassment online. The worst thing is that many do not even realize that they are being bullied.

Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell phones, computers, and tablets. Cyberbullying can occur through SMS, Text, and apps, or online in social media, forums, or gaming where people can view, participate in, or share content. Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or mean content about someone else. It can include sharing personal or private information about someone else causing embarrassment or humiliation.

The harmful effects of cyber bullying lead to depression, nervous break downs and even suicide. Tons of people are hurt on the Internet and the consequences can be truly tragic. When a person becomes the victim of cyber bullying, the first emotions are often those of confusion. Cyber bullies like to work in groups, as this is how they feel stronger together. Usually, there is no particular reason why they do that. That is why it is difficult for a victim to understand why they are being targeted. Bullies are just mean and this is the way to feel powerful. However, they do not take into account how they hurt their victims.

Education is a basic human right that gives children the chance to fulfil their potential. As a student our role is to study hard to pursue our dreams. ” It’s good to be a dreamer, but it’s better to be a planner and a worker”. We can’t achieve our goals if we didn’t study hard. Because our knowledge start in school. Students make choices and take actions which lead them toward to their educational goals.

Learning is one of the most important processes in today’s society.  Today’s youth are tomorrow’s teacher. We are the one who spread the learnings in the next generation. Keep educating yourelf, so work hard, play hard but don’t forget to study hard because it helps you to get a glimpse on your future.

“Never stop on learning because life never stop on teaching”. I believe to that saying. As long as we live in this world our life continuous on teaching us. We should study hard to acquire job, to become successful in life, and to help others. The more knowledge you have, the better decisions you can presumably make, which will lead to a better life. So stay calm but STUDY HARD.

The mining industry in the Philippines

      The Philippines is the fifth most mineral-rich country in the world for gold, nickel, copper, and chromite. It is home to the largest copper-gold deposit in the world. The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) has estimated that the country has an estimated $840 billion worth of untapped mineral wealth, as of 2012.
About 30 million hectares of land areas in the Philippines is deemed as possible areas for metallic minerals. According to the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), about nine million hectares of land areas is identified as having high mineral potential. The Philippines metal deposit is estimated at 21.5 billion metric tons and non-metallic minerals are at 19.3 billion metric tons, as of 2012.

 

  One of the major and more easily identified offenders of the ecological balance of the earth is the mining industry. Mining industries and companies can not but have negative impacts on the environment. Notable studies reveal that mining is not good. Many mining areas throughout the world show the impact of man’s assault on the earth in polluted bodies of water such as rivers, mine dumps and waste areas. Environmental degradation and deterioration due to mining is a major problem in many countries all over the world. Needless to say, the Philippines is one of these countries that is unquestionably facing serious biological disturbance and environmental damage due to irresponsible mining industries.

Treasured moments this SIGLAKAS 2018

” Taas ang bandera, bandera ng asul “

St. Matthew College celebrate their 36th anniversary this last September 17-20 2018. Many mattheans and alumni join the Siglakas. This year the siglakas is not that colorful like last year. Every year level wear their SMC Siglakas shirt with different colors and themes. In our level, they assigned color blue and the theme is Apollo. 
I admit that I did not enjoy the siglakas this year maybe it’s because I didn’t join any sports but I didn’t let my siglakas here in St. Matthew to be boring. Because of my friends I enjoy the Siglakas we shared many unforgettable and precious moments that I can treasure. Some of my classmates join some sports maybe not all of them become a champion still, they are the champion in our heart. Go!  go! go! Team Apollo.

What did I learn from today’s topic?

In first topic which is the 21st century skills I learned that it is very important to know what it is and it’s importance. In 21st century I learned that it helps me to success in learning,work and life. In web 2.0 i learn about the top 10 most popular networking sites which I can use.

How can I apply this to my future career?

Because of this lesson I can use the 21st century skills in my future job.  I want to be a Psychologist someday and I can use the skills that we tackeled in this topic like analyzing,critical thinking, communication,problem solving and many more. In web 2.0 I will can use it in everyday life. I will maximize the use of it. And learn more about this. In my future career I also need research and web 2.0 can help me.

This picture is the most memorable picture that I had because this is my first picture. My birth, my sign, and my name, all relate to the way. I was born on 14th day of June in the year of 2001. In this time everything was started all of my challenges in life,memories, ups and downs, good times and even bad times that molds me.
